Out and About

Went to Yum Cha at Gold Leaf (Burwood) today. It was good catching up with uni friends again. It's been so long since the last time we've had a gathering. Potter, Emma and I were the first three to arrive - literally. haha. we drove into Gold Leaf at the same time! Talk about perfect timing. Shortly after, Nicole and Ron arrived. Not know when the others were going to arrive, we decided to start eating first. haha. I had my usual favourite Football (Its like a sticky dough with minced pork inside. I always get it whenever I go to yumcha. hehe).

Lilian, Kei, Ken and Frank were the last to arrive. But by this time, most of us were already onto our desserts! haha. The Mango Saigo was soo refreshing! but it defintely filled me up after eating Doufu Fa (tofu with ginger syrup - Also a dessert). 

After finishing yumcha, everyone decided to go to Alvins for a bit, but I decided to go and get my hair done. I actually wanted to see Inception, but seeing majority of the others had already seen it, it didnt end up happening. 

So off to the hairdressers I went. I got my hair done at Aqua, in Glen Waverly. There was originally 2 Aquas in Glenny, But they've recently merged into one - the one remaining now is the one closer to the station. It was quite busy when I got there. They have a highschool special (Guys -$20 and Girls - $25 between 3-5pm). I thought that was pretty cool. A shame I'm no longer in highschool. haha! I was aiming to get my hair coloured, something like the picture on the left. But..It didnt turn out like that...so I'm not sure if I like my new hair colour. haha. I found it cool how they have these little ear caps, so that you don't get dye onto your ears, They looked like shower caps but tiny ones. haha. So after sitting there for about 40 minutes I got my hair washed, cut, blowdryed and then straightened.

The first girl who blew dryed my hair...seemed like a new comer. She didnt smile very often, and she was very rough with blow drying my hair. i did not like it at all. Luckily the other girl took over. So you can see on the right, my hair doesnt look anything like the picture, but I think it'll grow on me. Not sure whether I like it, probably shouldve chosen a lighter brown as the base, but I was scared it would be too bright. But anyways, let me know what you guys think. Yay or Nay? hehe. While getting my hair done, I found out my hairdresser enjoyed working over going on holidays. I think i enjoy both, work hard and then reward myself with a holiday. I love traveling the world. There are so many things to see and do out there that I probably would never have imagined. The hairdresser was quite funny, he was telling me that he was aiming to get a 6pack like Jacob. hehe. Wonder how many other guys have been influenced by Jacob?

Iphone 4

One of the things that I've been dying to get is the Iphone. The closest thing I ever had to the Iphone was the Itouch. But it just wasn't the same. So with the new Iphone 4 coming out, I think its time that I finally get one! Sure, there may be some minor issues like the reception and coverage (since I'm currently on THREE) but I think it will be one of those things that I won't regret getting. It's just depending on what kind of phone plan I want to go on. Thing is, my contract doesn't finish until April next year, which makes things just a little more complicated. I really like the sound of the $59 Optus Cap plan thats available for the iphone 4, 16gbs, especially the fact that theres no handset installments! That's always a bonus.

So what Options do I have? Three has a plan for the $49 Cap, which has an installment of $5 per month for the 16gb Iphone. However I believe the 8gb has no handset installments on the $49 Cap. So I think I will get the 8gb. I hope itll be big enough! With the Cap, there is also a bonus 1gb data included, which is perfect, means I can go on FB literally 24/7...especially when I'm out and about! Always felt kinda left out at the table, when everyones whipping out their Iphones and updating their status's while we wait for the food..or just to hijack each others iphones to write funny status comments.

I think I will wait for the white Iphone 4 comes out in stock. I've waited this long, whats a few weeks gonna do? Of course three is probably not the best deal, but it'll have to do for now since I'm already under a Three contract. Cancellation fee would cost me $400! so no way I'm doing that. At least it will be unlimited calls from three to three. Not much of a caller though. I've always preferred SMSs. I wonder if jumping from a $29 Cap to a $49 Cap is too much...I've always hesitated when it came to spending money on myself.

Well I guess thats enough blabbering from me for one night.
