Christmas at Cuckoo Restaurant

Had a wonderful time with the group at Cuckoo Restaurant in Mount Dandenong yesterday. I took a total of 212 Photos. So many of the photos turned out well, and I loved them all! I shall upload some of my favourite ones below. The rest will be on facebook (of course) LOL. If you haven't already noticed, our group likes to dress up, or at least make the effort to have a theme for every outing we do. Not sure how it came about, but I think there are numerous reasons as to why that is. Firstly its because we can take AWESOME photos. Secondly its the excitement of dressing up. Sure it takes effort, but it definitely pays off when the photos turn out well and we have an awesome time. Another benefit that comes out of it all is, the attention we get from friends and strangers. I reckon we definitely set the trend! It's been that way for some time now. You live life once right? I can't imagine going all out when I'm 50...so why not now, while we're young? haha.

Anyways, Cuckoo Restaurant was a buffet, which had 2 storeys. we sat downstairs, but went to the buffet upstairs as there was a larger range of food to choose from. The food was average but the atmosphere made up for it. I particularly enjoyed the honey prawns, and the beetroot. Yes I know that is a weird thing to enjoy. haha. I don't know why but I love beetroot, whether its in salad, a sandwhich or soup - Love it! I didn't eat as much as I should've, so for me, paying $65 (including deposit) was not worth it at all. But its a once time experience and I enjoyed it, because of the friends I spent it with. We got many stares from other tables as we laughed and giggled throughout the night in our red themed outfits, reindeer ears, flashing nose and santa hats. We got Compliments from a few people that worked there. One guy, I think he was a supervisor, kept complimenting us on how beautiful we were, everytime he walked pass. Then the Pancake guy kept asking where we were from. Don't blame him for asking as there weren't many asians there, but he was a little strange. haha.

After eating there for a few hours we went to Airstream at Glenny to meet up with the rest of the group who couldn't make it to dinner and we exchanged our Christmas KKs. It was funny how we tried to disguise who had each other for KK, yet everytime a present was picked out of the bag - we could tell instantly who it was from. HAHA, that was a total fail. LOL. But it just goes to show how much we know each other! My KK present was awesome, I received a Hello Kitty Perfume bottle and a little book called "Insults and Comebacks". It has some really funny lines, although I'm not sure if I'm mean enough to use them. haha. Just some that made me laugh:

1. Looks: "Uh I understand - you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down"
2. Age: "You're so old you think a BlackBerry is a fruit"
3. Brains: "You're so dumb, your dog teaches YOU tricks"
4. Character: "you're such a smart-ass I bet you could sit on a carton of ice cream and tell what flavour it is"
5.CounterAttack: "I may be fat, but you're ugly. I can always Diet"

So that ended our early Christmas celebration for the year 2010. Today was a lazy day, catching up on sleep and uploading the 212 photos to facebook. Due to the horrible weather, nothing exciting really happened. Tomorrow shall be a more interesting day =]

So enough talk from me. Enjoy the Photos.

An eventful year it has been

Happy Birthday Ravi!
I know it has been awhile since I've last blogged. I'd like to take this moment to wish my friend a Special Happy Birthday! (although it was last weekend). That night was an awesome night, although staying out til 6am, was a BAD idea. haha. Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience and a night to remember.
My First 151 Shot
Another crazy night to add to my list of crazy moments.
I experienced my first 151 shot. I can now understand why people are so afraid of it! It definitely hits you! I almost felt sick after taking that 1 shot, and it was my first drink!

My Little Nephew
I spent my Sunday with my friends at YumCha, after a depressing morning of horrible weather, preventing us to go Berry picking. It was great to see them, as it had been so long since the last time I had caught up with them. First missing out on Camberwell market due to my allergy. I spent the evening with my Nephew, Ethan who has begun to mutter random words like "gone" or "please" although he doesn't say them properly, You get the gist when he does. Haha. he's so cute! lol.

This coming weekend will also be filled with more excitement and photos. I will be spending Saturday celebrating Christmas with my close friends at Cuckoo Restaurant, followed by a night out on Sunday at the Boulevard Christmas Lights event. But it doesn't end there, as I have taken a day off on Monday to attend my friends Graduation! =)

Back in HighSchool
Following that, I hope to catch up with my bestie from Highschool. It will be great to finally catch up with her as the last time I saw her would've been months ago. Its funny how everytime I meet up with her we always laugh about the old days, like it just happened yesterday. Its amazing how we hardly get to see each other, yet when we do, its like we've seen each other every day. So shall be good to finally see her again =]

I am anticipating the eventful weekend to come, and then the eventfut week ending before work goes on shutdown, and then finally celebrating Christmas with the family.

It's amazing looking back on the year that has passed to see how far I have come...the year had started of badly, with the numerous car accidents, followed by the new environment of fulltime work and trying to fit in, to breaking up with my ex. But when I thought this year was going to be the worst year of my life, things turned around and its true when they say whenever something bad happens, something good happens.
My Life of 2010
The good things that happened shortly after my bad start to the year included my awesome adventures with my close friends (whether it be to Sydney or just hanging out together), having crazy nights out, random coffee breaks, shopping, and making awesome friendships at work that will be greatly missed. Although it seems my badluck came back with my allergy, I am hoping that it is a sign that something good will happen. Whether it happens during Christmas or overseas. I am looking forward to what my future may hold for me.

Hope everyone has an eventful weekend in anticipation for Christmas!

Doing a Good Deed...

After getting such a bad allergy reaction on friday, I decided to do a good deed today.

I Sponsored a box of toys for the unpriviledged childen in SE Asia (Operation Christmas Child).

I couldn't believe my luck on friday, when I woke up to a swollen face which has only just started to recover =(. My Skin was itchy for days and I couldn't go out anywhere! Had to wear my sunnies out to the doctors, then to voting on Saturday! I also missed out on an adventure to Camberwell market with the others this morning =(. It would've been good to experience it, but I guess there will always be next time =).

I don't really know what caused my allgery, I think it was some cream I used. so I'm going to have to do a cleanup of all my make up -__-". So horrible! Couldn't believe that happened to me. Made me wonder if it was Karma? Sigh. Hopefully my skin recovers tomorrow in time for me to go to work at Lang lang.

haven't been to lang lang in ages! I think this would be my third time this year. I think it will be good =). Just checked my email, and I think theres a few things I gotta follow up. Shall try to get some rest tonight, in motivation to do some work this week. hehe.

So besides being stuck at home trying to sleep and recover I was out Thursday night celebrating a friends birthday. It was a good night catching up with friends I hadn't seen for a while.

Melbourne Cup Weekend

It's been awhile since I last updated my blog. This blog should make up for it, because I've got lots to tell! I'll start with my Friday Night Bar Hopping with workmates. We started off at Hush Bar, followed by Ondergrounds and Peacock, finishing off at the Lions Hotel. We walked pass a few other bars, but didn't end up going in. haha. It was a good night out, for a couple of tequilla shots, vodka and Beer. Wasn't a big night out, although I still ended up going home at like 2am? LOL. So that was my Friday night. I felt bad though, because I almost got my workmates car locked in this carpark on longsdale street. It was $100 to get it out =(, felt so terrible! Thankfully someone came out, so he snuck in, paid the flat rate and managed to get out without paying the $100.

So Saturday came and It was time to go to the Races for Derby Day! I didn't spend too much this year, Most of my money went to my new dress that I had bought from ASOS. We all met up at Caulfield to leave our cars before catching the train to flemmington for the races. Everyone looked amazing in their dresses and suits. Thankfully it wasn't raining at the time, so we managed to get some good photos at the train station and also at the races. It wasnt until we were 3/4 through our food that it started pouring with rain -__-" So we quickly packed our things and went inside. We left our things in the cloakroom before making our bets on the horses. I didnt end up winning anything. It probably wasn't my day and the weather didn't really help. Nonetheless, it was a good day, with some good photos. We ended up leaving the races at about 4-5pm. By the time, it was still pouring with rain and it was very cold and windy! I was glad to be at home away from it all, after having a nice warm shower! =P. The rest of the night was quiet, relaxing and I spent most of it recovering from my tiredness! I KOed at about 10pm, waking up the next morning for another big day out!

Sunday was Lulu's Early 23rd Birthday Bash. The theme was Pastel. I originally wanted to wear this nice Pastel Pink dress, but it never came in the mail, so I ended up wearing pastel orange, semi dress that I found in my wardrobe after failing to find a nice pastel dress that looked good on me. It ended up turning out well because we somehow ended up having 2 of each pastel colour - Purple, Orange and Cream/White. The food was amazing at Koko, with reasonable price (after the discount. LOL). I had Sashimi, But wishing I ordered the Udons instead! haha.

We took sop many photos, we got told off by the waitress for having "too many flashes" LOL! I don't think anyones met a group like us with our Phototaking! We probably take 10 x More photos than a Normal tourist on vacation! LOL! We also took some amazing photos outside the restaurant - which had better lighting! I didnt want to leave! but it was already getting quite late, so we all reluctantly left and went to Petaling for supper. It was a good ending to the night, finally getting home about 2am.

Monday Came around and I was out and about again. This time I was out shopping at Harbour Town. There were lots of sales going on, theres a Temp Clearance Outlet store selling things for $4.95! I'm amazed I didn't go nuts and buy stuff! Only thing I ended up buying was a Chocolate Calculator, 3 pens and a Maxi dress! My friend on the otherhand, bought more than 10 items! I was happy that it didnt rain at all! The sun even came out to play! We ended having dinner at Oriental Spoon. I almost forgot how good Japchae tasted! We were so stuffed we took the long way to the train station, finishing the night with coffee at Shine.

So now it's Tuesday...yes, it will be another day out. Went for an early dinner at Lulu's place. Had Melbourne's voted No. 1 Fish and Chips! Verdict? It was indeed delicious! especially that fish! We ate most of the food before making our way down to Glenny to see the movie Social Networks. I couldn't believe it was based on a true story - on how Facebook became Facebook! The way it was founded, the way friends became enemies.
But one thing thats true about Facebook - is that it's definitely about our lives displayed on the internet. Our lives, our thoughts, our photos, our friends, our hates and dislikes and most of all, our relationship status. People would argue over silly details displayed on facebook~! But overall, it was a good movie. It was nice to know how Facebook came about. After the movie, we went to Zest for Coffee and to say farewell to DT, who is off to the UK for a holiday in a weeks time or so! So jealous! I can't wait for my own holiday to start! It's already November! Only 2 months left, til my internship finishes =(. Hope my workmates and I will still keep in touch!

Anyways, I'm off to bed, as work begins again tomorrow =(

My Most Productive Day of the Week...

Hey Everyone!

How's your weekend been? After a big weekend out last week, this weekend wasn't as hectic for me, however it was still quite eventful.

I Started my Saturday with Dumplings at Glenny, followed by Coffee at Zest before heading off home to my cousins 19th Birthday. It's strange how they all seem to grow so quickly! It seemed not long ago when I was at her place celebrating her 18th! It was good to finally catch up with my cousins, in which i hadn't caught up with in months! The night was quite eventful, from entertaining the little kids, to cooking BBQ, to crashing someone elses bday party and then ending the night with a macass run. LOL. Got home about 11pm, so didnt end up sleeping too late, maybe 1am? haha. dont ask what i did in between, coz I probably wouldn't remember. Most likely chatting on MSN and Facebooking would be my most likely guess. =]

So I managed to wake up at 10am today. Okay, so maybe I had a little help from my alarm clock, haha. Why did I wake up so early on a Sunday? you might ask. Well, it was mainly because I gained motivation to get lots of things done today just before I went to bed last night. haha. So I got up, went to Parkmore, printed 250 photos. Yup, 250. haha. I spent the day before sorting all my favourite photos, and i couldn't cut it down anymore then 250. lol. again, you might ask what am I planning to do with 250 photos? Theres things called Harddrives. haha. No need for photo albums. Well, I decided to use my creativity and created a collage of photos on my wall. All these photos are from 2010 only. It's M.Y. L.I.F.E. =]

So that was One task that I managed to complete today. My second task, was to find a pastel coloured dress because the one I ordered online got cancelled =[. I was amazed that I actually found quite a lot of pastel coloured dresses at Parkmore - At Tempt and Rampage. However, I couldn't find one that looked good on me, which sucked. I did find a maxi dress at rampage that I absoluetely loved! But they didnt have my size, and it was $50. But the matieral was so soft! I shall wait, hopefully they will restock or I will have to get the black one. But I do want the white one for summer. I ended up buying a white dress from tempt, which I'll most liketly take with me to Malaysia LOL. But my friends right, technically, White is not a pastel colour =S. So there goes the idea of my second task being completed! But luckily! I have a backup. haha. I was going through my wardrobe, thinking what the hell should I do? trying to find any last minute pastel coloured clothing that I could wear...and...then, BAM! i found a dress/top thats pastel Orange..actually, its more a mid colour Orange...but It will have to do LOL. So yes, second task completed. While I was shopping and waiting for my photos to develop, I did however, buy..some extra things that I probably shouldn't have, but I am happy with all that I got. They were also on sale! So..that makes up for it right? LOL.

My third task was to apply to Summer intern, but I've somhow missplaced my latest updated Resume. I'm pretty sure I have a copy at work, so that's been postponed. As long as I know I will have some kind of income coming in next year, I will get my Iphone 4. lol. I only hesitate because Im currently on the $29 CAP, and jumping to a $59...is quite a difference. I think...Anyways, back to my task 3 of job hunting, I did browse the uni careers website, found a few interesting jobs, but most of them are either graduates or casual jobs. Nothing I can really apply for until after January. So I shall just bee seeking at the moment =]

My fourth task, was to do some photo editing for my sister. What do you think? does it look funny? hahah, it was kinda hard trying to erase the people in the back...If you look from far away, it looks ok....LOL. So for me, that was a success. Although I know I could've done a better job. haha. It's very tedious though!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Hmm, so that ends my productive day. Not bad for a sunday right? Only thing I didnt get to do, was go to the gym, or go for a walk, I just..couldn't be bothered. LOL. I need to find some kind of re-occuring motivation to get me exercising. But I decided no more junk food for a while, AND NO SHOPPING for awhile either. Just gonna pay for my camera and save for my holiday. Once I have those two covered, then I'll consider buying stuff again. I'll just put them into a wishlist for now. LOL. I really do hope my packages (waiting on 3) do come this weeek. We've been waiting ages for them! *Fingers crossed*

Anyways, I think it's time for bed =]
Good night all!

Spring Festivities...

Well it sure has been awhile since I've last blogged. Been very tired from being so busy! I'm not sure where to begin! haha. I think I will blog about the last few days of my life...
After a busy/tiring week of work, I ended Friday Night with Spring Fling @ The Motel (York Street). It first started with me and a couple of workmates chilling at The Pub at Crown, having a couple of beers, then gambling at roulette (in which i lost my money =(..), to finishing with a Tequilla shot before moving onto the Clubbing event.

I s2 DUP was launching its first fashion show of occupation costumes. My friend was in the runway, so I was there to support her, and to have an awesome time with the rest of my friends. Luckily the place was close to crown, and my workmate was kind enough to drive me there, I would've been hopeless trying to find it on my own! LOL.

The Fashion show didn't start until 12:30am, so we spent the hours leading up to it, by taking lots of photos. We also got to go into the VIP area in the back, to meet the Poreotics Hip Hop Crew from America)! Okay, I must admit, I had never heard of them until I saw their Clip promoting the Spring Fling event, but meeting them in person, I became an instant fan. Espcially after seeing their Fusion Performance on youtube. They are AWESOME!

Couldn't believe how young they were! So the fashion show finally started and the models made their way onto the catwalk, one by one. There were many interesting Fantasy Occupation Costumes. They were all very kinky. haha. nonetheless, the show was a success and there were lots of cheering going on =). I was so busy taking videos and pictures, I didnt have any drinks while I was at the club! I was surprised! and so were many others! haha. We left after the runway show, but It was already about 1.30am by that time. It was good that we had left at that time, because I think we were all really tired. My feet were so sore because of working all day, then being out all night until 2am! I crashed into bed and woke up the next day at about 12pm. lol.

So how was my Saturday? Well, it was pretty relaxing. I ended up going to glenny for coffee, then dumplings. The weather was so good! Loved it! haha. My friends and I somehow ended up chatting about tattoos, and we were saying how I should get an "Awesome" tattoo. That lead to us going down to The Glen, buying black art pens, and making our way to Coco Black to have my "fake" Awesome Tattoo drawn on my arm. My friend did an awesome job! Loved it! hehe. It was a nice relaxing day of just chilling in the sun. I Even went for a walk after coffee around my neighborhood because the weather was so good! Then i went home and had a relaxing night at home, even attempting to sleep early because I had to wake up early on Sunday for the Tulip Festival. lol

Sunday finally came, and I was out of the house by 9.40am to go to my friends house to meet up before heading off to the Tulip Festival. We were worried as the weather was quite chilli. We made a quick stop at hungry jacks for breakfast. I must say, the breakfast wraps at hungry jacks are really good! The Coffee wasn't so great, but was drinkable after 3 sugar packs -__-" lol! The weather finally became better once we left hungry jacks. Making our way down to lilydale, we were blown away by all the pretty colours of the flowers. We made our way down each aisle of flowers, taking random photos with the statues and finished up at the windmill, before walking back to buy icecream and poffejers. They were so good! The food offered at the place wasn't very expensive either, so it was pretty good. A couple of friends had their face painted - which turned out so good! By this time,
I think we were all really tired. I think we spent at least 3-4 hours at the Tulip festival, before making an attempt to do some wine tasting. But since It looked dodgy, we just ended up going home. I ended up falling asleep in the car -__-". Made my way home before heading out again with the family for a big family dinner at Walrus in Springvale. I think i over ate, because I had so much food! It was good finally catching up with everyone. I don't remember the last time we had such a big gathering. hehe. So that ended my weekend.
The only down side of my weekend was my camera dieing =( I feel lost without it. So I am now searching for a new camera. I have always liked Canon, but I will be looking at a couple of other Cameras. I shall post them in a later blog. For now, Here are some pictures from my weekend.
